Spring is almost here and many of you have already gotten Spring Fever.  So, as you start your spring cleaning, please think of these tips to help keep the earth spring fresh.

• Open Your Windows:
• Fresh air is key to healthy living and the only way to get fresh air into your house is to open the windows and let it in.
• Use earth friendly cleaning products: 
• Use non-bleach products as they are better for your clothes and for the environment.
• Find products which don't contain phosphates.  When these phosphates enter our rivers and streams, they cause algae blooms which rob the water of oxygen, block the sunlight, and resulting in killing life in the waters.
• Research companies claims of being "biodegradable" or "nontoxic".  There are no legal definitions for these terms and are not regulated.
• Use natural fiber sponges and rags for cleaning:
• This will cut down on using one-time used items like paper towels.
• Don't use antibacterial soap:
• The widespread use of these types of soaps is what is helping to create antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria.
• Reuse lawn debris:
• Instead of raking lawn debris and burning it, reuse it as mulch and/or compost.  You can chip the sticks and wood down to mulch to use in your gardens and you can compost leaves with other organic matter to create incredible soil for use in your vegetable gardens.
