STS9, 1320 Records and Euphonic Conceptions are pleased to present the Official after parties for their New Years run in Denver, Colorado. The festivities commence each night at Casselman’s (located 1.5 miles from the Fillmore) immediately following STS9’s much anticipated performances at the Fillmore Auditorium. Each night features a diverse array of cutting edge electronic music, live art, lights and visuals.

December 29th is headed up by Sexytime, a collaboration between the exploding crunkstep phenomenon Mimosa and the ex-Boulder resident turned Bay Area beat machine Sleepyhead. This show also marks the exciting debut of the enigmatic Paper Diamond, who has developed quite the fanbase despite never playing a show and not revealing their true identity. The international sensation Lazer Sword also makes a rare appearance together in the United States, as half the duo now lives in Berlin. Longtime Colorado favorite DJ Rootz will be holding it down as always, while wunderkind of Flying Lotus’ LA-based Brainfeeder label Lorn closes out the evening with a bang.

December 30th sees the British funky soul / jazz / electronic sensation Bonobo lighting up the dancefloor with an extended DJ set, running the gamut amongst genres and tempos with material both old and new. Joining him are a pair of 21 year old identical twins from the South called Two Fresh, who are rapidly on the rise in Colorado and beyond after releases on STS9’s own 1320 Records, as well as Elm & Oak. The evening will also be graced by an incredible audio / visual collaborative performance between producer Random Rab, legendary for early morning sunrise sets, with Android Jones performing live digital art. The Great Mundane of Portland Oregon and Boulder’s own homegrown talent Frequent C are also on the bill.

New Years Eve is the culmination of the week, and features a stellar lineup headed by the world renowned legend of breaks and glitch, Tipper. Also, Nosaj Thing returns to Colorado with a very special visual set, with live projections completely in synch with his music. This evening also features 2 more artists off the Brainfeeder label. The Red Bull Music Academy graduate Teebs, whose sound has been described as an “Island vacation, the way Avatar looks” will be performing brand new material. Rounding out the lineup is the femme fatale of the crew, Tokimonsta, who will be throwing down her vintage yet progressive stylings of vast textural soundscapes.

All three nights will feature mind bending lighting and visuals, as well as incredible displays of live art. Robert Venosa, Martina Hoffman, Damon Soule, Android Jones and J Garcia will be taking part in these shows, showcasing a new visionary consciousness emerging in the art world and in Denver. Lucid, an art gallery/venue in the Santa Fe Art District, will be showing various works and jewelry. Flower guru Anthony Ward, who was just invited to do his 12th altar for His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be creating a floral installation that grows over the course of all 3 nights. The non-profit organization Bus To Show (www.bustoshow.org) will be providing various affordable transportation options for those getting to and from these after parties and locations in both Boulder and Denver.
