Poor Man’s Whiskey, now into their second decade as a band, has announced the first wave of new 2011 dates and festival plays. The band is looking forward to upcoming tours in Arkansas, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, and California.  They have recently released multiple festival plays this spring and summer and will also be back at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in 2011 for their 8th year running.

PMW played the Fillmore on January 8th for Bill Graham’s 80th Birthday Bash.  They shared the stage with Los Lobos and Jackie Greene.  PMW then headed into the studio to start working on their 4th full length album.  The new record will be released on May 20th at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, and kicking the evening off will be the Dead Winter Carpenters.

In additional, PMW is excited to announce they have signed with American Artists, who currently represents Melvin Seals & JGB, Buckethead and the Marshall Tucker Band among others. “I’m very excited to now be working with Poor Man’s Whiskey.  The band has been on my radar for the last year and promoters and fans alike absolutely love these guys!  I know they’re ready to take it to the next level and I’m really looking forward to helping them continue to grow in the years to come!” - Mike Weinstein, Senior Agent, American Artists.

PMW will be in the studio recording through March. The band has been working on a lot of new material, and is looking forward to getting back on the road on April 1st at the Hopmonk Tavern. Stay tuned for additional dates, more tours and festivals plays to be announced soon.
