Camp Euforia, returns to Lone Tree, IA, July 15th and 16th

Euforquestra’s 8th annual boutique music festival, Camp Euforia, returns to Lone Tree, IA, July 15th and 16th. This year’s festival proudly boasts some top-notch national, regional, and local acts.  The lineup includes festival hosts Euforquestra, as well as Hot Buttered Rum, Cornmeal, NOMO, Juno What, Thunder Body, and many more.  The wide variety of music spans such genres as funk, bluegrass, reggae, singer-songwriter, electronica, and jam.

Not only is Camp Euforia proud of its musical lineup, but the festival also takes great pride in the beauty of Jerry Hotz’ farm, where Camp Euforia takes place.  Hotz is a legend in the Iowa City music scene. Each year, Hotz graciously opens eight acres of land and farmstead to hundreds of festivalgoers. The cornfields are tall, the soy beans are as green, and the land is pristine – a perfect setting for a Celebration of Community and Music in America’s Heartland.

Camp Euforia is a weekend jam-packed with music, friends, family, and strangers soon to be your neighbors.  18 bands are slotted to play, gates open at noon on Friday, July 15th, and music will continue until the early morning on Sunday, July 16th.  Parking and camping are available on site and are included in the ticket price.

Tickets are currently available at www.campeuforia.com.  Early bird pricing has passed, but tickets for this two-day event are still available at $65 until the day of the event and will increase to $85 at the gates of the festival.  Tickets are limited, so grab them early!

About Euforquestra

Originally from Iowa City, IA, recently relocated to Fort Collins, CO, Eufórquestra has been touring more than ever and is continuing to take its cutting edge music in different directions. Their self-proclaimed “Afro-Caribbean-Barnyard-Funk” brings a rhythmic wall of sound, integrating such genres as Afrobeat, Reggae, Afro-Cuban, Samba, Soca, Funk, Salsa, and Dub. This is music that ignites dance floors across the country with a sound that “explodes, dances, and melts in your ear with sheer bliss” (Chris M. Slawecki; www.allaboutjazz.com).

About Cornfed Productions

The company is in its second year of existence, and originated as a sister company of Euforquestra, LLC.  Cornfed Productions was created to run Camp Euforia festival operations.  Former band member, Eric Quiner (keyboardist) and landowner, Jerry Hotz are the founding members of Cornfed Productions.  The two play a major role in organizing and producing the event.  Since Euforquestra’s relocation to Fort Collins, CO, the band’s tour schedule has become even more rigorous, and Eric & Jerry have taken over much of festival’s planning.
